The Tale of the Pissed Off Puddies.......

Poor, Poor Puddie-tats!

Needless to say, they spent their first night away from home Monday night. No -- it was not a plush kitty resort soaking up rays and drinking milk out of bowls with little umbrellas. No...it was not that at all.

Both Loki and Sunny spent the "Dreaded" stay at the vet to be declawed and their "Pride" worked on!! We had both fixed. Yes, they are pissed at me!! They would not hardly even look at me to get their pictures made in their cute "lampshade" collars. They look so ashamed and pissed.

Apparently - the little devil came out in Loki while there as well and decided--"You have to hold me better than that to stick a thermometer up my rear!" He apparently "Latched" onto the assistants skin. I warned him that he is a little fiesty. Loki kept messing with his and made his paw bleed, so he is in a collar.

Sunny, of course, was sweet Sunny. Flop him around like a sack of taters or a wet noodle. Sunny kept jumping up on stuff, so he in in a collar too!

Kisa is mad and pouting cause she can't be with them. Her is a Poutyy Puss!!

Don't they look happy..... I will sleep with one eye open from now on.....

Fancy Gap Mt, Mosaic, Needle on the Square, Downtown Roanoke and Hollywoods

Well - 3 knitters gone wild!!
Needless to say - It was quite the day!!
The Drive up to Blacksburg up Fancy Gap Mountain was so pretty. The leaves were just Changing.

Jeannie, Dawn and I headed out early for our day!! First Stop Mosaic Yarn in Blackburg Va. That is SUCH a CUTE SHOP!! The ladies were so sweet and they had some very pretty yarns and the COOLEST BAG EVER!! I got some Sublime in a beautiful Charcoal and Be Sweet in Chocolate Brown as I do not know anyone who carries it at any of my LYS. This is the shop that did the blankets for the families of the Va. Tech shootings. Their spirit was so wonderful and made us feel at home. They are even open on Sundays and invited us to come up any time to sit and knit!

Then down the Mountain to Roanoke to Needle on the Square where we bought even more... Wool and Mohair. Very nice shop and very nice and helpful staff.

Then on to downtown Roanoke to Center in the Square where I know Dawn fell in love with a pink bag that I am going to go back and get her. She had her eye on it!!

Then we wound down the day at Hollywoods to eat a bite and see my sister with fantastic food at Hollywoods. Flopsie was tired - so Tootie ate all the "Better Than Sex Cake".

We had so much fun and laughed and had a great time!! I can't wait til the next adventure!!

Ribbett -- A toad in the Commode.............

Well - after a long first start of the week - I thought to myself.. Self - this week has to get better!!
Work is so busy and I will be glad to get to December 1. For those that know me - I am an insurance broker. I set up insurance benefits for groups and individuals. In other words- I am completely insane!! This is a very busy and stressful time of year.

So I come home from Work Wednesday after working late. We do the dinner thing and I am getting ready to settle on the sofa with coffee and needles. Needless to say, 3 cats in the house in the early evening usually means excitement especially since all 3 are under a year and a half. It is almost like a Feline Nascar Race every night. Kisa will be up front, Loki is in the middle trying to pass and Sunny's in the rear--- (Veroom, veroom, veroom!!) then you hear 3 sets of claws hit the ceramic tiles and usually a crash into the cabinets, the stove or garbage can. Then through the dining room and up the stairs. Some go over the bed and some under. Only those with cats know what I mean and this will go on for an hour.

Well, we misplaced Kisa for a bit and I went to releave myself in the facilities upstairs and did not turn on the light - just used the light from the hall. FOUND KISA!! Now let me set this up. We have 3 cats and 3 litter boxes. We live in a 3 story Colonial style home. We keep the litter boxes in the standing shower stall in the master bath and we keep the curtain shut so that they can have a little privacy to poo!! (My Stormie would not go if you watched him!) So we just keep it shut for their little private moments. Now- please remember , Kisa is around 13 pounds and she has some junk in her trunk, also know as the J Lo Booty!! All I saw was her back in hanging out from under the shower curtain and she was making the weirdest moaning, cooing, meowing, growling sound and that booty was a rocking and a wagging. I thought - Loki and Sunny are downstairs, so she must have her a bug.

Because I do not want my Princess eating bugs, I cut on the light and go to move the litterbox and guess what I find........................ A FROG!!! Baby Girl has trapped Kermey!! So I scoot her out , call the boy to come get the frog and clean up the SH@# that Kisa scared out of Kermey. Hunter takes Kermey outside. Kermey was the size of a Walnut. He was pretty big. Now - those that have been to my house are probably going - HOW IN THE WORLD did a frog get up 3 stories??

So this morning, Wayne gets at 7:00 up after I have already been up and left and strolls into the bathroom. He scoops the cat poo and proceeds to the toilet, opens the toliet and to his suprise..... GUESS WHAT HE FINDS..... KERMEYS FAMILY!!!!!!! Now keep in mind, I just had the Hysterectomy 3 months ago and I go to the bathroom 5 or 6 times a night. Imagine if Kermey or friends would have jumped up and latched on to my hind end!!!!!!

Wayne calls the county water and has them come out and they do all this stuff including flushing the lines for hours. They said that the chances are one in a million that a frog would get into a line especially to go up 3 stories to get to the master bathroom.

Makes you think twice about squatting in a dark bathroom again - doesn't it??

Oh My - The CFA Cat Show In Winston Salem

Well -
As you all know, my summer was very rough with the loss of two of my babies and my surgery.

Loki has been a true joy to have in the house. He has put some spark in all of us as well as Kisa.

Now to the story of the weekend. Wayne wanted to take me to the CFA Cat Show here in Winston-Salem on Saturday. Purpose - we wanted another Cream and White Persian due to their personalities and their overall character. We went with the purpose to meet breeders and get names of breeders in this region, NC, TN, VA, SC, GA etc...

To those that know me - you know I believe in fate. I spotted Gina as soon as I walked in the door and she had a short hair Exotic in her hands that looked exactly like Taz with short hair. I started crying and she let me hold him. (Note: I called Taz "My Little Sunshine". Wayne said if we ever got another one, we would name him Sunny for Taz.) Guess what her cats name was - "Rise-N-Shine". Do you kinda see a little fate starting?

Well needless to say - after an hour, we met a lady that had a cream and white kitten in her cage. Now remember, this is my first CFA cat show and I had no idea what to expect. This lady was sitting with 2 cages of kittens and we talked 45 minutes while holding this little cream and white male. We asked her a question and she informed us that the breeder was in the ring and would be right back. Well - here she came and when we turned around - it was the lady that I met at the door with Rise-N-Shine!!!

Gina of www.cotnhill.com
She is a breeder, and guess what she breeds. Guess what we got....

Meet "Daddy's Little Sunny Boy of Cotn Hill"

Yes - Kisa has her nickname back for a couple days - "Miss. Hiss"
Loki thinks that all 1 pound of him is a Mountain Lion. He was growling and Hissing and Spitting. It was rather funny to watch. He turned 12 weeks old on Friday.

Sunny just sat there and looked at them. He is a cutie pie and so very sweet. Sunny is about 4 1/2 months old. His eyes will be copper as well. He already has his daddy wrapped around his little paw!!

Here is "Miss. Hiss", "Ferocious Loki" and "Sunny Boy"
